
The COS Dairy is housing 60 registered replacement
heifers. All of the milking operations are being done
by students. The COS Dairy is currently milking 75 cows. |

The Swine unit consist of 126 head of swine which is
currently being ran by Mr. Robert Britton
and student workers. |

The Sheep unit consist of 34 ewes, 6 replacement ewe
lambs, and 8 new lambs. The sheep unit has expanded
greatly dispite the fact that it is a slow process. |

The Oranamental Horticulture unit is also attended to
by various student workers, as well as Mr. Bill Downes,
the OH instructor. |

There are 9 brood mares, 2 studs, 7 yearlings, 12
equitation horses and 4 yearlings being used in the
COS Equine unit. |

The Beef unit, consisting of 19 mother cows, 6 replacement heifers,
and 2 steers, has grown over the past year. The beef unit is a group
effort involving the students in animal science classes and student
workers who manage the herd. |
