The COS Dairy is housing 60 registered replacement
heifers. All of the milking operations are being done
by students. The COS Dairy is currently milking 75 cows.

The Swine unit consist of 126 head of swine which is
currently being ran by Mr. Robert Britton
and student workers.

The Sheep unit consist of 34 ewes, 6 replacement ewe
lambs, and 8 new lambs. The sheep unit has expanded
greatly dispite the fact that it is a slow process.

The Oranamental Horticulture unit is also attended to
by various student workers, as well as Mr. Bill Downes,
the OH instructor.

There are 9 brood mares, 2 studs, 7 yearlings, 12
equitation horses and 4 yearlings being used in the
COS Equine unit.

The Beef unit, consisting of 19 mother cows, 6 replacement heifers, and 2 steers, has grown over the past year. The beef unit is a group effort involving the students in animal science classes and student workers who manage the herd.
